Winners!
winning dogCongratulations go to Sally and her Dog May for their recent competition success.

They were 1 of around 30 entrants in the Pre-Beginners competition held by York City Dog Training Club. After everyone had competed they found themselves in a 3-way tie for first place.
To decide this they were required to go through all parts of the competition round again, except for the Stay exercises. After the run-off Sally and May took second place. May is shown wearing her very impressive Rosette.

Well done Sally and May for your achievement in the competition and for all of the hard work that you put in to attain and progress the standard that you have. We're all very proud of you.

A New Service For Our Customers
dog and trainerFollowing numerous enquiries PMP K9 Training School has launched a new service that appears to be of interest to both new and existing customers – dog-only training by an Instructor.
So, for example, if you're finding it difficult to devote the time needed to obtain the goal(s) that you seek, or perhaps you would like some 'basics' instilled before you began training with your dog, then this option offers you that opportunity.
Before beginning we’ll take a detailed brief on what it is that you’d like us to achieve with your dog. You’ll receive ongoing feedback both verbally and by emailed reports. We’ll also discuss at what point you should take over the training. When the time’s right through 1-2-1 sessions and then classes (if that’s your goal) you’ll learn how to interact with your dog to capitalise on the foundation skills instilled by the Instructor.

We started this service around 3 weeks ago and the first ‘student’ has graduated and moved on to 1-2-1 training with their owner.
If you’d like to find out more please call or email us.

Happy New Year!

We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas?
New Year is the time for resolutions so why not make one of them to do some training with your dog?
If you’re interested in finding out more about what we could offer you call us free on 0800 328 3013 or complete the email Contact Form on this Website. We’d be delighted to hear from you.

This month sees the start of our regular class for dogs who have issues being around other dogs. We call this session ‘The Growlers’. All those attending have been along to 1-2-1 training sessions and done some work on this unwanted behaviour. They’re now taking the next step and joining a group of like-minded dogs.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be expanding our Shop to offer an increased range of products which will include Burns Dog Food, Hand-made Leads / Collars and a variety of accessories of interest to dog owners.
Additionally we’ve started a Crate-hire service for those who might either want to ‘try before they buy’ or who need extra Crate space for a period of time.

We’re looking forward to continuing training with our Customers and their dogs in 2011, and hope we can welcome you to PMP K9 Training School soon.

An exciting day for PMP K9 Training School – our new Clubhouse arrived!

After much discussion and weighing up the pro’s and con’s we opted for a Static Caravan. So what was once the holiday destination for people looking to sample the delights of Lincolnshire is now starting its new life as the base for our Dog Training School.

Over the next few weeks it’ll be changed to offer the following to our customers:
  • A place to have a break and a chat with other dog-people – tea and coffee provided – after a class
  • A quiet environment in which to discuss issues and solutions during the initial assessment and beyond
  • A class-room environment for Security Dog Handlers
  • A shop offering a range of equipment useful to owners and their dogs along with Burns dog and cat food
A big ‘thank you’ must go to Arthur, Laurie, Mike and Ronnie for all of their help. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We look forward to welcoming people and their dogs to our Training School and hope that they enjoy all of the facilities that we offer.
